A collection of three static guides
Three learning guides
Each guide is a complete, self-contained site: a 30-day course, ten deep dives and twenty quick-reference cards, with progress stored only in your own browser. Researched through August 24, 2026.
-
Marysville, California · Yuba–Feather
Marysville Angler
A practical fishing-learning guide for the lower Feather, the lower Yuba, the confluence and the reservoirs within a morning of Marysville. Durable skills here; live rules from CDFW before you go.
-
Institutions, conflicts, and interpretation
US Military History
A structured course in American military institutions, conflicts, law, strategy, society and historical interpretation, with fourteen timelines and a chronology view that keeps their date conventions apart.
-
Marysville and the Yuba–Sutter valley
Yuba Valley Gardener
A locally grounded home-gardening course for hot dry summers, mild wet winters, variable soils and real flood, smoke and heat exposure. Marysville is USDA Zone 9b, and this guide explains what that does and does not tell you.
Seeing a blank page or an endless “Loading…”?
The guides read their content from JSON files, which browsers block when a page is opened straight from
disk with a file:// address. Serve the folder over HTTP instead — from this folder, run one of
these and then open http://localhost:8080/:
python3 -m http.server 8080npx --yes serve -l 8080 .
On Cloudflare Pages you can deploy this whole folder as one project, or each guide folder as its own project with the build command left blank. Both work; the guides use relative paths and hash routing.
